Dr. Warren's Comprehensive Medical Program
It is our mission to help you achieve your best possible health. We provide the education, medical care, and the ongoing support that make long term success possible. We will be with you every step of the way, from your first visit to maintenance.
We are New Hampshire's most comprehensive non-surgical medical weight management program. Our doctor, nurse practitioner, nutritionists, healthy weight coaches, and medical assistants work together as your support team.
Our Comprehensive Medical Weight Management Program provides a complete evaluation of “hidden” causes of weight gain. Our team will perform an analysis of your medical and weight history, medications, nutrition, exercise and lifestyle factors, then design a plan customized for you.
FDA-approved Anti-Obesity Medications may be available for certain patients to control hunger and cravings while establishing long term healthy weight strategies.
Medical conditions including prediabetes, diabetes, metabolic syndrome, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, sleep apnea, depression, arthritis, vitamin deficiencies, hypothyroidism, and more, are commonly addressed in our program.
Research has shown that getting on track quickly is associated with better long-term success and outcomes. We will spend time getting to know you on your first visit, so we will be able to design your personalized program and get you on the right track immediately.

Research also shows that frequent contact and support in the early stages of a program are associated with greater success. We follow the latest guidelines by seeing you regularly during the 3 month Jumpstart program. During this phase, we will help you establish and practice your healthy new lifestyle patterns. We will also evaluate, treat, and fine-tune any medical conditions related to weight.
Once you have completed the initial 3 month Jumpstart, the next phase will help you practice your healthy new lifestyle patterns until they become "the new normal", or second nature for you. We will continue to monitor and treat medical conditions related to weight and will fine-tune any medications. During this phase of the program, visits are generally scheduled between 2-4 weeks apart, depending on your needs, challenges, and preferences.

Once you achieve your goal weight, we will help you continue your success, using strategies supported by research, and our clinical experience. Our maintenance program will teach you "rapid recovery" strategies for inevitable slips (no one is perfect!), and we will continue to be an active support for your healthy life.
First Visit
The first visit is the "big one". Our program uses the latest science in order to customize a program and plan of action that fits your unique circumstances, to help you achieve your best results. We are the opposite of a "one-size-fits-all" program – we are going to get to know your individual needs, preferences, lifestyle, challenges, and then we are going to fit the science to meet your life. Research shows that when you start off on the correct track, you are more likely to lose weight and keep it off for the long term.
During your first visit, you will meet privately with our medical team. We will perform a comprehensive bariatric medical evaluation to identify and address medical issues related to your weight. We will review your medical history, medications, and investigate medical, as well as bio-psycho-social factors that may affect your weight.
You will have a complete Body Composition Analysis and metabolic rate calculation. We measure weight, BMI and body fat percentage. From this detailed information, we calculate your Resting Energy Expenditure, an indicator of how many calories you need per day. This information allows us to give you individualized, precise advice on nutrition and activity level.
In addition to a complete medical evaluation, our lifestyle and nutrition experts will review your weight history, and fully evaluate your unique circumstances, current eating patterns, lifestyle factors, food preferences, and emotional and social factors affecting your weight.
Our program will provide techniques for dealing with challenges such as emotional eating, planning ahead, eating out, cravings, breaking through plateaus, and staying on track long term.
We will teach you eating and lifestyle strategies, and provide practical, real-life dietary advice.
After reviewing your history and completing your physical, we will address any special conditions or concerns, answer any questions you have, and work with you to determine whether you may be a candidate for medication to assist with your weight management.
We will also address any medications or medical problems which may be contributing to weight gain.
You will receive a detailed lifestyle plan, with specific recommendations for diet, exercise, behavioral modification, and medical issues related to your weight.
You will also receive extensive educational support materials, including a written lifestyle prescription, the Healthy Weight Center program book, the Calorie King calorie guide book, and you have the option of an online journal review by our nutritionist, at a minimal charge. You are encouraged to call or email for extra support at any time.
To fully evaluate your needs, we require lab work to help us customize your plan. Basic lab work includes a CBC, CMP, TSH, Lipid Panel, and many people also may benefit from having a vitamin D level and Hemoglobin A1C test to determine whether prediabetes is present. You may bring lab results with you from your primary care provider, or we can draw them at the office at a discounted rate.

Our medical providers will coordinate care with your primary care and other specialists to make sure you get the best comprehensive care.

Payments and Insurance Information
We accept credit cards, debit, checks (with Driver's License) and cash.
Most patients have been successful using their Health Savings Accounts (HSA) and FLEX cards and we do accept both.
Most health insurance companies do not cover medical non-surgical weight loss programs, however, you can check with your insurance company to see if they offer reimbursement.

If you wish to try to submit a claim, we will generate a super-bill, and a letter that describes our program, so you may attempt to obtain reimbursement from your private, non-medicare insurance company.
Medicare does not cover medical weight management provided at specialist offices at this time. This may change in the future.
